Introduction
Welcome to The GLOU. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, mobile application, and services offered by The Glou Living Private Limited (“The GLOU”, “we”, “our", “us”). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Glou Living Private Limited. Please read them carefully.
Use of the Platform
The GLOU platform connects customers with verified salon partners and beauty professionals for at-home beauty services. We are a technology platform, not a salon or beauty service provider. Salon partners are independent third parties responsible for the services they deliver.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our platform. By using The GLOU, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement.
Booking & Cancellation
When you book a service through The GLOU, you enter into a direct service arrangement with the assigned salon partner. We facilitate the booking, scheduling, and communication but are not a party to the service contract itself.
- Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed once the salon partner accepts the appointment. You are not charged upfront while placing a booking request.
- Cancellation by Customer: You may cancel or reschedule bookings subject to platform rules and operational feasibility. Cancellations made responsibly and with adequate notice are preferred. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in temporary account restrictions.
- Cancellation by Partner: If a salon partner cancels, we will offer rescheduling or a waiver of any applicable charges at your discretion.
- No-Show: If you are not available at the scheduled time and location, the booking may be marked as a no-show. Since beauty professionals reserve dedicated time slots for confirmed appointments, customers are encouraged to cancel responsibly.
- Fake Bookings & Misuse: Repeated fake bookings, non-availability at the service location, or misuse of the platform may result in temporary restrictions or account suspension.
Payments
Customers are not charged upfront while placing a booking request on The GLOU. Payments are typically collected only after the successful completion of the beauty service appointment.
The Glou Living Private Limited may enable online payment collection through third-party payment gateways for operational convenience, invoicing, subscriptions, memberships, or future premium offerings. Customers agree to make timely payment for successfully completed services booked through the platform.
- Pricing: All prices displayed on The GLOU platform are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are set by salon partners and may vary based on service, location, and availability.
- Payment Collection: Payment-related information may be collected only when customers complete transactions after successful service delivery, or when optional future payment features are enabled on the platform.
- Refunds: Eligible refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
- Disputes: If you experience dissatisfaction with a completed service, please contact customer support at cs@myglou.com within a reasonable period after service completion. The GLOU may review disputes on a best-effort basis to maintain customer satisfaction and partner accountability.
Account Standing
The GLOU reserves the right to restrict or suspend accounts in cases of fraudulent bookings, repeated payment failures, abuse of the platform, or misuse of services. We maintain this policy to protect our salon partners and ensure a trustworthy experience for all customers.
If your account is restricted, you may appeal the decision by contacting us at cs@myglou.com with relevant details. We review appeals on a case-by-case basis.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against salon partners or staff.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Interfere with the security or integrity of our platform.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.
Intellectual Property
All content on The GLOU platform — including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and design — is the property of The Glou Living Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Glou Living Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform or services booked through it.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the liability.
We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of services provided by salon partners. Any concerns regarding service quality should be addressed directly with the partner and reported to us for review.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on our platform. Continued use of The GLOU after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
